Every year in April Milan opens the “Salone del mobile” which is a significant furnishings exhibition. It receives worldwide attention and sees many visitors interested in household items and furniture design.
While the Salone del Mobile takes place at the Rho exhibition center (a few km from Milan) in Milan downtown, at the same time, takes place a great event is called “Fuorisalone.”
The Fuorisalone consists of many events scattered throughout the city in locations called “design districts.” It’s a large showcase, where important brands located in the various districts present their new collections and host special events with live music and entertainment for an unmissable show.
Both the “Salone del Mobile” and the “fuorisalone” make up the Milan design week, which this year will be from 8th to 14th April.
